Role Description
As a Senior PMO Officer, you will be part of the Global Delivery Portfolio Management Office Division. This role involves increased responsibility, facilitating best practices, and ensuring project governance standards are met. You will track performance, ensure compliance, and oversee project delivery across time, budget, and scope, playing a critical role in delivering complex projects. This position entails higher-level responsibilities, more complex assignments, and deeper strategic involvement compared to a PMO Officer role.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Strategic Project/Program Managers by tracking deliverables, milestones, and progress.
- Ensure governance compliance through proper documentation and organizational frameworks.
- Generate project status reports and on-demand reports.
- Implement and improve project governance and communication.
- Assist in budget preparation aligned with project goals.
- Collaborate within the PMO team and lead initiatives when necessary.
- Manage project management tools and resources efficiently.
- Standardize and improve project management processes.
- Mentor and support Junior PMO staff.
- Coordinate with departments and international teams for successful IT project delivery.
- Contribute to evolving the PMO practices and team initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in PMO, preferably in IT environments.
- Experience with complex projects and portfolio management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, Confluence, Teams, JIRA, and PPM tools.
- Certifications like PMI / PRINCE2 or similar.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving ability and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications
- German language skills (minimum B1).
- Experience as an IT Project Manager.
- Knowledge of project finance and process improvement.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields.
- Non-technical degrees require at least 1 year of project management experience.
- MBA in IT/Insurance/Finance is advantageous.
