Job summary

Dwarika Technologies Llp is seeking a Plant Head for a Li-ion recycling facility. You will lead regulatory approvals, manage end‑to‑end plant setup, and run commissioning with full accountability.

Ideal candidates have 8–15 years in chemical/metallurgical manufacturing, with battery recycling exposure, and fluency in English and Hindi. Based in Noida during the project, relocation to Hapur during construction and operations is expected.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years in chemical or metallurgical manufacturing with greenfield/brownfield plant experience.
• Experience in battery recycling, black-mass processing, or Co/Ni/Li refining preferred.
• Fluent English and Hindi (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory approvals with UPPCB, MoEFCC, CPCB EPR, and other authorities.
• File incentive-scheme applications under applicable policies.
• Manage end-to-end plant setup: vendor selection, procurement, civil works, erection and commissioning.
• Recruit, train and lead the operations team; establish EHS, quality, and laboratory systems.
• Oversee Plant operations during commissioning with full P&L and compliance accountability.
• Meet CPCB-reported recovery yield and purity thresholds for cobalt, nickel and lithium salts; monetise EPR certificates.
• Liaise with banks on milestone-linked disbursements and with the PMA on capex-incentive claims.
• Report progress, cost, schedule and KPIs to the Designated Partners; transition to operations after plant.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Lead statutory approvals Nivesh Mitra, UPPCB (CTE / CTO / HW Authorisation), MoEFCC/SEIAA (EC), CPCB EPR Battery Recycler registration, HPDA, Factory License, Fire NOC, and PESO.

• File incentive-scheme applications under the Ministry of Mines Critical Mineral Recycling Incentive Scheme, UP EV Manufacturing Policy 2022 and UP MSME Promotion Policy.
• Manage plant setup end-to-end vendor selection, procurement, civil works, erection and commissioning of the mechanical pre-processing and hydrometallurgical lines.
• Recruit, train and lead the operations team; set up EHS, quality and laboratory systems.
• Take over as Plant Head on commissioning run day-to-day operations of the Li-ion recycling plant with full P&L and compliance accountability.
• Meet CPCB-notified recovery yield and purity thresholds for cobalt, nickel and lithium salts; generate and monetise EPR certificates.
• Liaise with the lending bank on milestone-linked disbursements and with the Project Management Agency on capex-incentive claims.
• Report directly to the Designated Partners on project progress, cost, schedule and operational KPIs.
• After Plant Operation the Candidate will be shifted to Operations.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical, Metallurgical or Environmental Engineering. MBA an added advantage.

• 8-15 years in chemical, hydrometallurgical or non-ferrous manufacturing, with hands-on experience of setting up a greenfield or brownfield plant.
• Prior work in battery recycling, black-mass processing, or Co / Ni / Li refining will be strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Water Act, Air Act, Hazardous Waste Rules 2016, Battery Waste Management Rules 2022, Factories Act 1948 and EIA Notification 2006.
• Direct interface experience with UPPCB, CPCB, MoEFCC/SEIAA or equivalent State Boards.
• Familiarity with Nivesh Mitra, PARIVESH and CPCB EPR portals; ability to draft technical and regulatory correspondence in clear English.
• Fluent English and Hindi (written and spoken).
• Willing to be based in Noida during the project phase and to relocate to Hapur during construction and operations.
• Structured, self-driven, comfortable with government offices and industrial vendors alike; strong ownership of outcomes.
