Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Project Manager for IT Applications / e-Governance in Jaipur. The role requires a strong background in project management across the full SDLC, plus hands-on experience with SQL databases and J2EE/Advanced Java/Microsoft .NET technologies.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders and risks, and ensure timely delivery across design, development, testing, release and deployment stages in a government-focused setting.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech./MCA or higher qualification in IT.
• 10+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in designing and developing IT applications.
• 7+ years of project management experience across design, development, testing, release and deployment stages of the SDLC.
• Experience managing projects using SQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL and J2EE/Advanced Java/Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Strong planning, estimation, stakeholder communication, risk management and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project delivery across initiation, planning, design, development, testing, release, deployment and closure.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, effort estimates, resource plans, budgets, milestones and status reports.
• Manage scope, requirements, dependencies, risks, issues, quality and change requests to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams on RDBMS and J2EE/Advanced Java/.NET applications, removing delivery impediments.
• Engage with customers, government stakeholders, vendors and leadership; conduct governance reviews and communicate progress, decisions and escalations.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, security, documentation, acceptance criteria, release readiness and production transition requirements.

Job description

Role: Project Manager (PM) IT Applications / e-Governance

Required Technical Skill Set - Project management across the complete SDLC; RDBMS (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL); web/application technologies including J2EE, Advanced Java and Microservice architecture; stakeholder, risk, scope, schedule, resource and delivery management.

Desired Experience Range 10+ years of relevant post-qualification IT experience, including 7+ years in project management.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency/Skills) Must-Have
