Job summary

Design Cafe is seeking a Project Manager for Mumbai-Khargar. The role involves coordinating with designers, collecting drawings, and ensuring site readiness and safety compliance. You will manage carpenters/installers, monitor progress, control material availability, and liaise with clients to ensure project completion within budget.

The candidate should have BE or Diploma and experience in interior design projects, with a focus on accurate execution and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BE or Diploma is required.
• Project Manager with relevant Interior Designing industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Designers to understand project requirements.
• Collect Drawings & Production details from designers 24 hrs before Kick Off to study.
• Technically check drawings with respect to site condition and recommend changes.
• Analyze drawings & clear all project-related doubts with Designer.
• Update site initial condition & feasibility to start work to Planner.
• Assign right resources for project installation & ensure carpenters/installers have safety tools and materials.
• Ensure carpenters/installers wear uniforms, ID cards and follow timings.
• Ensure materials are available at sites before assigning carpenters to execute the project.
• Monitor installation work regularly & daily update to stakeholders.
• Obtain cost approval for deviations in measurement or client changes from Planning/SIRI Head/Ops Head.
• Maintain attendance at site and control absenteeism.
• Adhere to System & Process from time to time.
• Develop rapport with Customers & update work status to internal Team & Customers.
• Interact with client for satisfactory project completion.
• Handle grievances of workers with Team Leader and SIRI Head.
• Return unused materials to stores/warehouse after project completion & update TL/Planner/Warehouse.
• Inform Installation QC Team after completion and handover after resolving issues.
• Plan and utilize manpower per budget.

• Responsible for Maintenance of attendance at the site and control of absenteeism.
• Adherence to System & Process from time to time.
• Develop good rapport with Customers & update work status simultaneously to both internal Team & Customers.
• Interaction with the client for satisfactory project completion.
• Handling the grievances of workers amicably jointly with Team Leader and SIRI Head.
• Ensure that unused materials are returned to the stores/warehouse after Completion of the Project & update report to TL/Planner/Warehouse in charge.
• After completion of the projects, inform the Installation QC Team and post resolving all issues proceed to handover.
• Ensure manpower is planned and utilized as per budget.
