Job summary

Jacobs in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead medium to large scale initiatives from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery against objectives, timelines, budget, scope and quality targets. You will manage plans, milestones, dependencies and risks while communicating clearly to senior stakeholders.

This role partners with GBS and the global organization to drive governance, standardization and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in project management or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in international, matrixed organizations.
  • Successful record of leading implementations, integrations and migrations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead medium to large scale projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery against objectives, timelines, budget, scope and quality targets.
  • Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and stakeholder expectations across multiple functions.
  • Drive governance and reporting to ensure transparency and effective project execution.
  • Partner with stakeholders within GBS and the global organization to align priorities and outcomes.
  • Promote collaboration, standardization and knowledge sharing across the OneGBS approach.
  • Analyze status and recommend adjustments to scope, schedule, resources or budget.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and effective communication among participants.
  • Communicate project status, risks and decisions to senior leadership.

Your impact
Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large scale projects from initiation through closure, ensuring successful delivery against business objectives, timelines, budget, scope and quality targets.
  • Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and stakeholder expectations across multiple business functions.
  • Drive governance, decision-making processes and project reporting to ensure transparency and effective project execution.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders within GBS and across the global organization to align priorities and achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Support and drive the OneGBS approach across the organization by promoting collaboration, standardization and knowledge sharing.
  • Analyze project status and proactively recommend adjustments to scope, schedule, resources or budget as needed.
  • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and ensure effective communication between all project participants.
  • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, accomplishments and key decisions to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Lead change-related activities supporting successful adoption of project outcomes and sustainable business value realization.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, when applicable.
  • Mentor less experienced project team members and contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices and standards.
Here's what you'll need
Qualifications/Competences/Work Experience
  • Master’s degree in project management, IT, Finance, Accounting (or in related field)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience international and matrixed organizations
  • Successful record of leading implementations, integrations and work migrations projects
  • Exposure to digital transformation, system implementations, process automation or software deployment projects.
  • Excellent management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leadership
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, multitask and meet required deadlines
  • Ability to work in fast-paced business environment with evolving priorities and persevere through challenges and ambiguity
  • PMP, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience leading technical and technology-enabled projects or projects delivered in partnership with IT teams (optional).
