Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a BIM Coordinator to lead digital delivery, coordinate BIM processes, and ensure ISO 19650 alignment across projects. You will supervise model production, maintain CDEs, and support project teams in achieving accurate, data-rich deliverables.

You will host coordination meetings, perform clash detection, and help develop BEP and information production methods, enabling efficient collaboration with design teams and clients while protecting intellectual property.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 5 to 11 years of hands-on BIM, digital delivery, or related domains with large-scale projects.
• Proven track record leading BIM implementation on complex projects.
• Professional BIM certifications (Autodesk/Bentley, ISO 19650) desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of AEC workflows and ISO 19650.
• Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise BIM model production and ensure accurate information and clear communication with design teams.
• Deliver models per LOI/N and ensure conformance to LOD requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless BIM process integration.
• Perform QA/QC of BIM models against client requirements and QA/QC procedures.
• Assist BIM Manager with BEP, Scope Clarification, and information production methods.
• Maintain Common Data Environment (CDE) per ISO 19650 for secure data exchange.
• Prepare and manage TIDP/MIDP and BEP templates for ACC workflows.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings; maintain federated models and clash resolution.
• Test BIM technologies/workflows per project needs and ISO 19650.
• Identify efficiency improvements in BIM processes.
• Provide targeted training on standardized software and tasks.

Your impact

The BIM Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for all BIM related matters, ensuring effective coordination and support across projects. This role demands a thorough understanding of local and international BIM standards and requirements. In this capacity, you will coordinate Digital Delivery efforts, overseeing the implementation of BIM processes on projects.

You will play a crucial role in technology and content management, aligning with Jacobs' business interests and protecting its intellectual property. This will involve fostering cross-geographical relationships to maximize the benefits of global integrated delivery for our clients and our team

Role & Responsibilities

• Supervise the production of BIM Models, ensuring accurate implementation of project information, proper documentation, and effective communication with Design Teams.
• Ensure model(s) are delivered in accordance with the agreed Level of Information Need (LOIN)/Level of Development (LOD)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of BIM processes.
• Review BIM models and execute QA/QC for compliance with Client requirements and project QA/QC procedure.
• Assist BIM Manager in the preparation of BEP, Scope Clarification, Capability/Capacity Assessments, information production methods & procedures, and project information protocol, maintaining these during project delivery.
• Establish and maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE) in accordance with ISO 19650 standards to ensure secure, structured, and collaborative data exchange.
• Prepare and manage the TIDP’s/MIDP.
• Preparation of Technical Verification Plan template for creating workflow templates in ACC.
• Host and lead BIM coordination meetings (internal and external). Prepare, create, and maintain Federated Models.
• Evaluate and test BIM technologies/workflows as required by the project and ISO 19650.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency enhancement in the BIM process and implement improvements.
• Provide support and focused training on specific tasks to enhance staff members’ knowledge and expertise of the standardized software used
• Preparing clash detection matrix, perform clash detection, manage clash resolution and appropriate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Responsible for compiling and managing COBie spreadsheets to ensure accurate and standardized delivery of asset data for facilities management and project handover.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5 to 11 years of hands-on experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital delivery, or related domains preferably within sectors such as Transportation, Water, Energy & Power (E&P), and Buildings.
• Proven track record of successfully leading BIM implementation on large-scale and technically complex projects.
• Professional certifications in BIM (e.g., Autodesk/Bentley Certified Professional, ISO 19650) are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of AEC industry design and construction workflows.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Strong understanding of ISO 19650 and other BIM-related standards.
