Your impact
In this role you will be responsible for project delivery, design management & project management, for positioning and winning projects involving a range of services. The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects.
Responsibilities
- Issue, Update and maintain Project Procedures Manual and Project Execution Plan
- Incorporate Project Controls and Quality Plan into PEP
- Act as designated channel for all communications
- Provide leadership to the project team and maintain client / project team alignment
- Execute project scope according to PEP
- Ensure timely completion of designs, requisitions and engineering deliverables
- Adhere to Dept./Discipline Working Instructions and Quality Systems
- Track work progress and work‑hour usage
- Work within company budgets while meeting client expectations and maintaining long‑term relationships
- Attend to client feedback and any complaints, review technical requirements of client specifications and ensure agreement on the basis of design
- Participate in discussions with the client as necessary, investigate, analyze and implement systems and methods to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Issue Change Management Procedure tailored to size and complexity of the project
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements
- Conduct Project Coordination Meetings, keep management informed of new or emerging risks, manage project cash flow, and support and participate in Client Survey
- Support Project Quality Audits, ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective actions in Performance Improvement Notes, and issue close‑out reports for the project
- Maintain contact with other disciplines/groups to ensure leaders are aware of progress delays and facilitate proper interchange of information and documents
- Define correct interface, ensure site problems such as Technical Queries and Non‑conformity Notices are dealt with effectively and expeditiously, and ensure competent staff are available for site troubleshooting as necessary
- Attend Design Engineering Management Review Meetings and furnish administrative and technical directives to discipline personnel
Qualifications
- A degree in any engineering discipline, preferably Process or Mechanical Engineering
- 15 to 20 years of experience in Design Engineering
