Hydra Charging is seeking a proactive Project Manager – EV Charging Infrastructure in Coimbatore to lead end-to-end establishment of charging stations. The role coordinates with Technical Manager, Network Manager, Site Engineers, CAD/Design, vendors, contractors, and landowners to ensure drawings, timelines, and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate has a B.E. in Civil Engineering with 3–5 years of project management experience, strong coordination skills, and the ability to read CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma qualification in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the complete EV charging station installation process.
• Coordinate with the Technical Manager, Network Manager, Site Engineer, electrical contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure project activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.
• Track site progress and identify delays, issues, and dependencies.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project execution.
• Coordinate with landowners to obtain site access and ensure smooth project execution.
• Understand CAD drawings and site layouts and ensure the physical site is developed accordingly.
• Ensure proper placement of chargers, electrical panels, and other infrastructure as per approved drawings.
• Coordinate with civil and electrical teams for site preparation and installation.
• Ensure the site is ready for charger installation and commissioning.
• Maintain professional communication with landowners and other stakeholders.
• Escalate technical or execution issues to the appropriate team.

Hydra Charging is looking for a proactive and execution-focused Project Manager – EV Charging Infrastructure to manage the end-to-end establishment of EV charging stations.

The Project Manager will act as the key coordination point between the Technical Manager, Network Manager, Site Engineers, CAD/Designing, vendors, contractors, and landowners to ensure every charging station is established as per the approved technical drawings, project timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination & Execution

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the complete EV charging station installation process.
• Coordinate with the Technical Manager, Network Manager, Site Engineer, electrical contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure project activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.
• Track site progress and identify delays, issues, and dependencies.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project execution.

2. Site Development & Implementation

• Coordinate with landowners to obtain site access and ensure smooth project execution.
• Understand the approved CAD drawings and site layouts and ensure the physical site is developed accordingly.
• Ensure proper placement of chargers, electrical panels, cable routes, parking areas, signage, civil works, and other infrastructure as per the approved drawing.
• Coordinate with civil and electrical teams for site preparation and installation.
• Ensure the site is ready for charger installation and commissioning.

3. Landowner & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain professional communication and coordination with landowners.
• Address site-related concerns and coordinate resolutions with the concerned internal teams.
• Coordinate access, permissions, civil work requirements, power-related requirements, and other site dependencies.
• Maintain good working relationships with all project stakeholders.

4. Technical & Network Coordination

• Coordinate with the Technical Manager for electrical and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with the Network Manager for charger connectivity, networking, software integration, and commissioning requirements.
• Work closely with the Site Engineer to ensure technical specifications are implemented correctly.
• Escalate technical or execution issues to the appropriate team for timely resolution.

5. Project Monitoring & Reporting

• Maintain project-wise trackers covering site status, civil work, electrical work, charger installation, networking, and commissioning.
• Prepare regular project progress reports for management.
• Track project timelines, milestones, pending activities, and completion status.
• Document site photographs, progress updates, issues, and resolutions.

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all site development and installation activities follow approved drawings and technical specifications.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure required quality standards are maintained.
• Ensure site activities follow applicable electrical and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to rectify deviations or quality issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma qualification in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in project management, infrastructure development, electrical projects, EV charging, construction, or a related field.
• Strong project coordination and site execution skills.
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and site layouts.
• Good knowledge of basic electrical/civil infrastructure is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, project tracking tools, and basic CAD understanding.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
