Job summary

Softdel and Software AG in Pune is seeking a Project Manager to lead embedded software projects end-to-end. You will plan scope, schedules, resourcing and budgets; staff the project and mentor the team; monitor delivery against plan and ensure quality, on-time, and within budget.

The role also involves managing client relationships, pursuing new opportunities, and guiding secure development practices. BE in Instrumentation/Electronics/EC/CS and 10+ years of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the project: Scope, Work Plan, Resourcing, Cost and Schedule.
• Staff the project: Recruitment, Interview, Manage Staff, Team Training/Orientation.
• Project Execution: Monitor, Control, Delivery on time, within budget, quality; manage financials including P&L; comply with development processes. Analyze risk and report problems in meeting system requirements.
• Manages project team:- Manages internal as well as external resources with a team size less than 40 people; Mentors and encourages skill development of project team members; Provides performance review input and development recommendations.
• Manages business development:- Identifies and develops new opportunities with client; Supports early qualification and opportunity assessment for large and complex opportunities; Manages upper level client delivery relationships; Build strong relationship with stakeholders and be the SPOC for the customer; Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver with a detailed plan; Lead implementation leveraging global software engineering resources; Work with minimal supervision to deliver commitments; Identify architecture and technologies for continuous evolution.
• Experienced in implementing secure development methodologies, ensuring robust protection of sensitive data and systems integrity.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum 8+ years of demonstrated experience in leading and managing the software projects in embedded systems (Projects with RTOS, IoT protocols, embedded web servers using C/C++, edge analytics)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Communicate effectively both in written and oral English.
• Self-motivated, innovative, willing to pursue new technical areas and capable of working independently.
• Architectural exposure will be an added advantage.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in Lighting Controls, HVAC, BAS, domain is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of embedded systems is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Quality Engineering methodologies and processes
• Knowledge of Well-respected standards for Software development
• Well-respected PM certifications will be an added advantage.
• Experience on complex technical project
• Experience in automation testing or automation test framework
• Experience on Python and relevant test automation frameworks e.g. Robot, django
• Strong expertise in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems.
• Knowledge of smart lighting ecosystems (Philips Hue, Leviton, Lutron, etc.).
• Experience developing dimmable, tunable-white, or RGB/RGBW lighting solutions.
• Familiarity with safety, compliance, and certification processes for lighting products.
