Datapkt, a drone survey and geospatial services provider, seeks an Operations Manager (Civil) to run project operations end-to-end, from tendering through field execution to client handover. You will lead design reviews, DPRs, GADs and GIS outputs using GIS and CAD tools across railway, highway and infrastructure projects in India.

The role requires a Civil Engineering background, 3+ years of experience with at least 1 year in project management, and travel to sites.

Qualifikationen

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.Tech in Transportation, Geomatics or Remote Sensing/GIS is a plus)
• 3 years (Min) experience, including minimum 1 year of project management on highway, railway or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in DPR preparation and GAD / design drawings for highway or railway projects
• Hands-on experience with drone surveys and photogrammetry workflows
• Working knowledge of GIS and design software: AutoCAD / Civil 3D, MX Road / OpenRoads, ArcGIS / QGIS, Pix4D / Agisoft Metashape / DJI Terra (any)
• Understanding of highway and railway design standards (IRC, MoRTH, RDSO / Indian Railways codes)
• Strong communication, client-handling and team-coordination skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project or equivalent planning tools
• Willingness to travel to project sites
• DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate is an added advantage

Aufgaben

• Project Management: Plan, schedule and track multiple concurrent projects; own timelines, resources, budgets and client milestones from mobilisation to closure.
• Drone Survey Operations: Plan and supervise drone missions (topographic surveys, aerial videography, thermography, progress monitoring); coordinate pilots, equipment and DGCA / Digital Sky compliance.
• Photogrammetry & GIS: Oversee data processing (orthomosaics, DSM/DTM, point clouds, contours) and GIS mapping; ensure accuracy, GCP control and QA/QC of all outputs.
• DPR & Design Deliverables: Lead preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), feasibility and survey reports; prepare and review General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), plan & profile / L-sections, cross-sections, alignment drawings, land plans and quantity estimates for highway and railway projects.
• Civil Design & Engineering: Review and support design of highway and railway alignments, junctions, structures and drainage using survey data; ensure compliance with IRC, MoRTH and RDSO standards.
• Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and site authorities (railways, NHAI/PWD, PSUs); attend review meetings, present progress and get drawings/DPRs approved.
• Tenders & Documentation: Support preparation of technical bids, methodologies, BOQs and project reports; maintain project documentation and billing inputs.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor field surveyors, drone pilots and GIS/CAD analysts; allocate work and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Process Improvement: Standardise SOPs, track field expenses and work-done records, and improve operational efficiency.

About the Role

DATAPKT delivers drone-based survey, photogrammetry, GIS and inspection services for railway, highway and infrastructure projects across India.
