Axioned is seeking a Project Manager to optimize delivery and team operations across a portfolio of client engagements, including website retainers and CMS/CRM work. You will shape how the PM team plans, communicates, and delivers, coaching through real work rather than workshops.
You’ll work directly with delivery teams, engineers, QA, and design in a flat structure, with a focus on ownership, effective collaboration, and continuous improvement from day one.
Role: Project Manager
This role is not for everyone. Read this carefully.
We’re a ~35-person digital services company. We build, run, and extend web platforms for marketing teams, agencies, and product companies. We’re flat. We’re direct. We don’t do politics, we don’t do hand-holding, and we don’t orchestrate people’s careers top-down.
We need a Project Manager not as a process theorist, but as someone who makes project delivery and team operations measurably better, every week.
If you want a role where you manage up and delegate down, this isn’t it. If you want clear swim lanes and someone telling you what to focus on each morning, this isn’t it. If you need a month of \"settling in\" before you have opinions, this isn’t it.
If you see broken things and fix them before being asked keep reading.
Run projects. You’ll directly manage a portfolio of client engagements primarily website retainers, CMS/CRM integrations, and ongoing digital platform work for marketing teams and agencies. This includes our \"Run\" work: continuous improvement, stability, client confidence, and operational excellence. Run is where trust is built and where long-term client relationships live. You need to understand that and find real satisfaction in it.
Raise the bar on the PM team. Your job is to bring discipline, rigor, and consistency to how they plan, communicate, and deliver. Not by writing process documents by modelling the standard and holding people to it. You coach through real work, not workshops.
Be a bridge. Our senior engineers are deep in client delivery. They’re strong technically but not inclined toward people and process management. You’ll need to work with them effectively understanding enough about the tech to earn credibility, while owning the project and people dimensions they don’t want to.
Work directly with delivery teams. We don’t have a separate technical lead per project who does the dirty work of getting things done through dev. This is a flat team with direct communication and collaboration. You’ll coordinate directly with engineers, QA, and design. This is not a hands-off, delegate-and-track job you’re in the work, not above it.
