Job summary

Excellon Software is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Associate Project Manager to drive multiple software implementation and product delivery initiatives. You will manage Agile/Scrum execution, plan sprints, groom backlog, and track progress using Azure DevOps.

The role requires hands-on Azure DevOps, release governance across DEV, SIT, UAT and Production, strong RAID and CR management, and effective stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• :3+ years of experience as Project Manager / Associate Project Manager in customer-facing delivery roles.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive multiple concurrent software implementation and product delivery projects.
• Manage Agile/Scrum execution including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, velocity tracking, and sprint metrics reporting.
• Use Azure DevOps to track user stories, features, epics, tasks, dependencies, blockers, burndown/burnup progress, and ageing work items.
• Own release planning and deployment governance across DEV, SIT, UAT, and Production environments.
• Manage RAID governance covering risks, actions, issues, decisions, dependencies, and escalations.
• Drive change request discussions, scope control, impact analysis, approvals, and delivery tracking.
• Coordinate delivery across BA, Development, QA, Infra, Support, and customer stakeholders with minimal supervision.
• Prepare executive status reports covering delivery progress, risks, blockers, release readiness, resource utilization, and key decisions required.
• Handle customer communication and escalations with clear ownership, timely follow-up, and practical resolution plans.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3+ years of experience as Project Manager / Associate Project Manager in customer-facing delivery roles.
• Strong Agile/Scrum delivery execution with hands‑on Azure DevOps experience; Azure DevOps is mandatory and preferred over Jira.
• Ability to manage sprint delivery, dependencies, blockers, release readiness, UAT/SIT/Production releases, and deployment governance.
• Strong project governance skills covering RAID, CR management, resource planning, utilization tracking, stakeholder management, and escalation management.
• Technical understanding of API integration projects, AWS/Azure cloud deployments, SDLC, and DEV/UAT/PROD environment management.
• Preferred experience in ERP, DMS, SaaS, or product implementation projects.
• Preferred certifications: PSM / CSM; PMP good to have; SAFe Agilist preferred.
• Interview focus: Azure DevOps sprint management, dependency tracking, scope creep and CR handling, dashboard review, release readiness, leadership metrics, and customer escalation handling.
• Ideal mix: 40% Project Management, 30% Agile Delivery Management, 20% DevOps Governance, and 10% BA understanding. Avoid profiles limited to meeting scheduling, MOM preparation, basic coordination, or status reporting only.
