Role of the Project Manager (PM)

The Project Manager holds primary responsibility for ensuring effective project governance and seamless execution across teams. Key responsibilities include:

• Resource Allocation: Efficiently manage and allocate resources to align with project needs.
• Timeline Adherence: Ensure the project progresses according to the established schedule and key milestones.
• Team Oversight: Oversee Development, QA, Front-End, and all other teams involved in project execution.
• Project Planning: Define and maintain comprehensive project plans, including sprint planning, Gantt charts, and deployment schedules.
• Governance & Communication: Act as the central coordinator for project governance, approvals, and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical projects from conception to deployment, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality results.
• Coordinate with clients to comprehend their technical needs and oversee the delivery of solutions that meet those needs.
• Ensure that a team of software engineers has the necessary tools, resources, and support to be successful.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a contact point for technical questions and concerns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively identifying and resolving problems that may arise throughout the project's duration.
• Continuously monitor the project's progress, tracking milestones and providing stakeholders with regular updates.
• Develop a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to come up with inventive solutions to complex technical problems.
• Manage issue resolution and escalation management process.
• Implement and enforce best practices for project management, including Agile methodologies and project management software such as JIRA.
• Should be flexible to work in the different time zone.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in Delivery and Engagement management, with at least 8 years of experience in a program / Delivery management role. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
• Strong experience in client interactions and building client relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of software engineers.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
