Job summary

URC Construction is seeking a site in-charge to oversee project execution, ensuring staff are aligned with project requirements and safety policies. You will lead the team on technical and commercial aspects, manage labour, and minimize wastage through disciplined supervision.

Key focus areas include adherence to QMS, implementing EHS policy, and coordinating with engineers and subordinates to meet timelines. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in handling projects independently.
• Strong technical and commercial knowledge; understanding contract conditions.
• Experience guiding staff and workers to follow QMS and EHS policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project team members are clear about their responsibilities and project requirements.
• Plan labour needs daily and allocate to engineers.
• Educate daily work details to bar benders, carpenters and masons.
• Explain works procedures to subordinates and minimize wastage.
• Implement EHS policies in coordination with Safety in-charge.
• Conduct regular meetings to improve progress and timely completion.

Role & responsibilities

Hands of experience on handling the projects independently, Strong

Technical & Commercial Knowledge, & Contract Conditions.

Ensure that project team members are clear about their responsibilities and

the requirements of the project

More attention towards Staff / Workers welfare

Ensure all the sub-ordinates executing the works as per QMS and

responsible for implementing it.

Explain the procedure of works to the sub-ordinates and insist them to

minimize wastage.

Responsible for implementing EHS Policy in co-ordination with Safety in-

charge.

Prepare day-to-day plan of labour requirement based on requests from all

Engineers and allot labor accordingly to the Engineers.

Educate daily work details to the bar benders, carpenter and masons

Interim audit and sign all records for updating and correctness

Close watch in concrete, form work and steel work then insist to minimize

wastage, avoid, rework.

Conduct evening/week/fortnight/month meeting to improve progress and

timely completion of the project ( If applicable )

Submission of Project closeout report ( If applicable )

Propose, nominate and evaluate subordinates on skill gap and appropriate

training in- coordination with PMS ( If applicable )

Assist and guide the execution engineers on daily basis

As site in-charge, report the idle Plant & Machinery, including centering

materials to RO/HO

Verify the reconciliation statement in Coordination with QS Incharge and try

to solve the discrepancies and shortages
