Job description

The Centre for 3D Cancer Omics at IIT Madras is a Focused Research Organization dedicated to advancing multidisciplinary digital tissue mapping and high-resolution histopathology in oncology. Operating at the intersection of clinical research, tissue imaging, molecular biology and computational science, we decode complex tumor microenvironments at scale. Our infrastructure integrates 3D histology, multiomics, spatial biology and liquid biopsy pipelines, with a focus on the unique genomic and clinical landscapes of Indian cohorts.

Role Summary

Serve as the administrative and operational link between clinical collaborating centers and the research laboratory, ensuring smooth wet-lab and computational workflows, clinical sample acquisition, regulatory compliance and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end clinical sample logistics and specimen transfer from partner hospitals to our histopathology and spatial omics labs
• Run administrative workflows, track project timelines and maintain ethical compliance for human tissue research
• Manage relationships with oncologists, surgeons and research stakeholders
• Track progress across all project phases, anticipate delays and bottlenecks, and resolve them

Required Qualifications

• MBA/MSc/M.Tech in Healthcare Administration, Clinical Research, Biotechnology, Public Health, Life Sciences or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, clinical coordination or healthcare administration, preferably in oncology, genomics or biomedical research
• 2 years of experience in clinical research coordination, biobanking logistics or health project management
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and planning skills

Preferred

• Experience coordinating large-scale oncology biobanking or clinical operations for pathology labs
• PMP or Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) certification
