The Centre for 3D Cancer Omics at IIT Madras is seeking a dedicated lab technician to provide technical and operational support across core histology workflows on-site.

You will handle tissue processing, paraffin block sectioning, staining (H&E and special stains), and operation of slide scanners, following SOPs and QC protocols under senior histopathology staff.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) or Diploma (DMLT).
• 1 year of clinical or diagnostic lab experience, preferably in pathology, histology or biochemistry.
• Hands-on experience in tumor histopathology, imaging, and molecular assays preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Tissue sample receiving and processing.
• Routine paraffin block sectioning.
• H&E and special staining.
• Operating slide scanners.
• Maintaining bench inventory and preparing buffers and reagents.
• Upholding SOPs under the direction of senior histopathology staff.

The Centre for 3D Cancer Omics at IIT Madras is a Focused Research Organization dedicated to advancing multidisciplinary digital tissue mapping and high-resolution histopathology in oncology. Operating at the intersection of clinical research, tissue imaging, molecular biology and computational science, we decode complex tumor microenvironments at scale. Our infrastructure integrates 3D histology, multiomics, spatial biology and liquid biopsy pipelines, with a focus on the unique genomic and clinical landscapes of Indian cohorts.

Role Summary
