Job summary

Basware's Professional Services Team is seeking an initiative-taking Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Basware software solutions for global customers. You will plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end implementation projects, balancing scope, time and budget while aligning with Basware’s delivery methodology.

You’ll work with an international delivery team, manage cross-functional resources, and maintain alignment with Sales, Solution Consultants, Architects, and Customer

Qualifications

• At least 5-8 years of end-to-end implementation project management experience, preferably in finance automation, ERP or enterprise solutions.
• PM Certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks and delivery best practices in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
• Strong customer advocacy and relationship management skills, with a track record of driving customer satisfaction and adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Basware implementation and integration projects ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget.
• Act as the primary customer contact during project execution, building trust and ensuring alignment with client goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, manage schedules, track milestones, and report progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify risks early, develop mitigation plans and manage issues to maintain the project health.
• Monitor project financials including budgets, forecasts, and margins: ensure adherence to the contractual terms.
• Ensure projects meet internal audit requirements, and compliance standards.
• Work closely with solution consultants, solution architects, customer support and customer success teams to ensure a seamless handover to operations.
• Contributes to refining project delivery methodologies, standardized templates, and best practices across the professional services organization.

Job description

The Professional Services Team is looking for an initiative-taking and results-driven Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Basware software solutions and services for our global customers. We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Project Manager who can effectively plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end implementation projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong project governance, stakeholder management, and delivery discipline to ensure each engagement achieves its desired business outcomes—on time, within scope, and within budget. You’ll be responsible for aligning customer expectations with Basware’s delivery methodology, driving execution excellence, and ensuring a smooth transition into steady-state operations.

In this role, you’ll work as part of an international delivery team, managing cross-functional resources, coordinating with Sales, Solution Consultants and Solution Architects, and maintaining close alignment with Product and Customer Success teams. You’ll act as a trusted customer advocate, ensuring that client needs are understood, communicated, and addressed throughout the project lifecycle. With a customer-first mindset, you’ll

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology/Computer Science, Business, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks and delivery best practices in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
• Demonstrated experience (at least 5-8 years) in managing end-to-end implementation projects, preferably in finance automation, ERP or enterprise solutions.
• Project Management Certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are highly desirable.
• Strong customer advocacy and relationship management skills, with a track record of driving customer satisfaction and adoption
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in a global delivery model, collaborating across time zones and cultures.
• Experience with AI tools, frameworks, or applications is considered a strong asset.
