Gnani Innovations Private Limited. Bangalore-based, we are hiring a Project Manager to drive planning and delivery for our Engineering organization as we scale our enterprise Voice AI platform.

You will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle—from sprint planning and backlog health to release cadence and cross‑team coordination. You bring structure to fast-moving, ambiguous environments, keep teams focused on outcomes, and use data to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience managing software/engineering delivery.
• Strong exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Proven backlog prioritization and release planning experience.
• Experience running retrospectives and driving continuous improvement.
• Excellent planning, organization, and milestone tracking skills.
• Solid documentation management and process-improvement track record.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Run Scrum/Kanban/SAFe ceremonies across multiple engineering squads.
• Own sprint planning, scope, capacity, and velocity tracking.
• Prioritize and groom backlog with engineering/product leads.
• Plan and coordinate releases across teams and dependencies.
• Facilitate estimation sessions (story points, t-shirt sizing).
• Drive retrospectives and process improvements that translate into outcomes.
• Maintain engineering roadmap and flag risks to leadership.
• Own project documentation and decision logs for auditable delivery.
• Track velocity, cycle time, throughput; report status to stakeholders.
• Unblock delivery by acting as the connective layer between teams.

THE ROLE

You will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle — sprint planning, backlog health, release cadence, and cross-team coordination — working closely with engineering, product, and AI teams. You bring structure to fast-moving, ambiguous environments, keep teams focused on outcomes, and use data to drive continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Run Scrum/Kanban/SAFe ceremonies — sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives — across multiple engineering squads.
• Own sprint planning and execution, ensuring scope, capacity, and velocity are tracked and communicated.
• Prioritize and groom the backlog with engineering and product leads based on business impact and technical dependencies.
• Plan and coordinate releases across teams, managing scope, timelines, and cross‑team dependencies.
• Facilitate estimation sessions (story points, t‑shirt sizing) and calibrate accuracy over time.
• Drive retrospectives and process reviews that translate into measurable team improvements.
• Maintain the engineering roadmap, track milestones, and proactively flag risks to leadership.
• Own project documentation, decision logs, and process artifacts so teams stay aligned and auditable.
• Track velocity, cycle time, throughput, and other delivery KPIs; report data‑driven status to stakeholders.
• Act as the connective layer between engineering, product, design, and AI teams to unblock delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5–10 years of experience managing software/engineering delivery, with strong exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Proven track record of sprint planning, execution, and estimation techniques.
• Hands‑on backlog prioritization and release planning across multiple teams.
• Experience running retrospectives and driving continuous improvement.
• Strong planning & organization skills: time management, prioritization, roadmap planning, and milestone tracking.
• Solid documentation management and process improvement track record.
• Strong analytical skills: problem‑solving, critical thinking, and root cause analysis.
• Comfort with data‑driven decision‑making and metrics/KPI analysis (velocity, cycle time, throughput).
• Excellent stakeholder communication across engineering, product, and leadership.
• Certification in Scrum (CSM/PSM), SAFe (SA/SPC), or PMP/PMI‑ACP.
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Linear, or Azure DevOps.
• Background managing delivery for AI/ML or data‑heavy engineering teams.
• Exposure to BFSI, telecom, or enterprise product domains.
• Experience setting up or scaling PMO practices in a startup environment.
• Familiarity with engineering concepts (APIs, cloud deployments, CI/CD) to converse fluently with tech teams.
