Job summary

Quest Global is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple engineering programs from Chennai, driving on-time project completions and resource optimization. You will coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, manage schedules, risk, and stakeholder expectations while maintaining strong customer interactions and governance.

The ideal candidate has 12–18 years of experience, PMP certification, and a solid background in PMO practices,PLM tools like Teamcenter, and

Qualifications

• 12–18 years of experience in engineering project management, project delivery or engineering operations.
• PMP certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Proven experience managing multiple engineering projects and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong experience in project planning, schedule management, resource allocation and capacity planning.
• Experience in monitoring project performance against key metrics such as OTD, RFT, project completion and productivity.
• Ability to identify project risks, dependencies and delivery constraints and develop effective mitigation / recovery plans.
• Experience in customer interaction, stakeholder management and handling project escalations.
• Ability to independently drive project reviews, governance meetings and follow-up actions with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in resource deployment and managing resource availability across multiple projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering project execution and product development processes.
• Knowledge of PMO practices, project dashboards, reporting and project governance would be an added advantage.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerApps, SharePoint and MS Project would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of PLM / engineering systems such as Teamcenter or similar tools would be an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery and operational matters.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic engineering environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to project and delivery issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customer and internal stakeholders at different levels.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Work Experience

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
• 12–18 years of experience in engineering project management, project delivery or engineering operations.
