Job summary

Quest Global, located in Hyderabad, seeks a Project Planner to manage projects, highlight risks, and drive improvements across the full lifecycle. The role requires coordinating with engineers and customers to ensure timelines and deliverables align with commitments.

The candidate should have 6–8 years in engineering project or program management, with strong communication skills and familiarity with Agile practices. On-site Hyderabad position with travel up to 10% may be expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; MBA preferred for program oversight.
• Experience 6–8 years in engineering project/program management or vendor management.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies advantageous; strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects, highlight risks, drive improvements, and maintain schedules.
• Review weekly risks and ensure smooth communications across teams and clients.
• Oversee end-to-end planning and tracking of activities; manage change control and roadmaps.
• Serve as customer advocate between internal teams and customer tech groups.
• Provide weekly/monthly progress updates to customer and Quest Global leadership.
• Coordinate PSR/RCAs and issue prioritization with internal teams.
• Lead creation and management of change control, roadmap, and release procedures.

What You Will Do

• The Project Planner will be responsible for managing projects to highlight risks, driving project improvements, and maintaining projects schedules. The Project Planner will be working with engineers and customers to make sure their projects go smoothly.
• Review their projects weekly for risks that could delay deliverables. Achieve this by working with the engineers and understanding the status of the tasks. Ensure smooth communications and service delivery over full engineering lifecycle, between client and end users.
• Be responsible for project planning and oversight of planned activities from beginning to end.
• Keep track of work in progress, collaborate with suppliers, handle risks, and ensure projects are completed as per schedule.
• Service as customer advocate between internal technical teams and customer technical teams.
• Provide weekly and monthly updates to the customer and Quest Global leadership on progress of deliverables.
• Identify and prioritize customer issues and coordinate with internal team to do PSR, RCAs, etc.
• Lead creation and management of change control procedure, product roadmap, risk register and build release procedure.

Work Experience

What You Will Bring

• Engineering and/or MBA degree in any field
• 6-8 years of work-experience in engineering project management, product management, program management and/or vendor management
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology is preferred
• Knowledge of power plant engineering and its operation is preferred
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal

Work Requirements

• This role is considered an on-site position located in Hyderabad
• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.

Travel Requirements:

Due to the nature of the work, 10% of travel is required.
