Job Summary
Role: Project Manager - IAM & Digital Infrastructure
Location: Bangalore, India
Department: Digital Infrastructure & Platforms (IAM)
Number of Positions: 1
Role Overview
Airbus is seeking an experienced, versatile Project Manager to join our IAM Digital Infrastructure department in Bangalore. As our department transitions toward a high-performance, product-centric delivery model, we require a delivery expert who can manage Multi-Functional Teams (MFTs), steer critical work packages, oversee project budgets, and facilitate Agile/Scrum execution when needed to maintain engineering velocity.
In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone for high-impact Identity & Access Management initiatives, ensuring work packages and milestones are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict alignment with Airbus quality and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- MFT & Work Package Delivery: Lead and orchestrate cross-functional Multi-Functional Teams (MFTs) across engineering, security, and operations to deliver complex IAM work packages from initiation through to closure.
- Agile Facilitation & Scrum Leadership: Step in as a hands-on Scrum Master when required - facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and actively removing blockers to maintain squad velocity.
- Financial & Resource Oversight: Track and manage project budgets, resource allocations, operational expenditures, and financial metrics where needed to ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Technical Leads, and Service Delivery Managers to align project timelines with the overarching product roadmap.
- Risk & Stakeholder Management: Identify project risks, mitigate inter-team dependencies, and provide clear, transparent status reporting and dashboards to departmental leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with 8-12 years of enterprise IT project management experience.
- Proficiency across both traditional Waterfall/Stage-Gate project governance and Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
- Solid experience in work package breakdown, budget oversight, resource capacity planning, and tracking project financial metrics.
- Hands-on expertise with project tooling: Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and portfolio management platforms.
- Strong facilitation and leadership skills with a proven ability to lead matrixed, cross-functional, and international teams without direct hierarchical authority.
- Nice to Have: IAM/Security domain exposure, PMP/Agile certifications (PMI-PMP, CSM, PSM), or French language proficiency.
