Job summary

JLL, a global real estate services leader, seeks a Project Lead - MEP in Mumbai to oversee all MEPF aspects of commercial office fit-out projects. You will apply strong technical and PM skills to deliver within scope, budget, and schedule.

Key responsibilities include leading MEP design and installation, reviewing designs for compliance, coordinating with architects and contractors, conducting site inspections, managing schedules and budgets, and overseeing commissioning and handover

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years in MEP for office fit-outs.
• Experience with BIM and MEP coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEPF design and installation for office fit-outs.
• Review MEP designs, drawings, and specs for compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders on MEP issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation quality.
• Prepare technical docs, RFIs, and change orders.
• Manage project schedules and budgets for MEP works.
• Oversee commissioning and testing of MEP systems.
• Prepare reports for project handover.

Position Summary

As a Project Lead - MEP at JLL, you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) aspects of office fit-out projects. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with project management skills to ensure successful delivery of MEPF services within scope, budget, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEPF design and installation activities for commercial office fit-out projects
• Review and validate MEP designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless integration of MEP systems
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation quality and progress
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, RFIs, and change orders
• Develop and manage project schedules for MEP works
• Perform cost analysis and budget management for MEP components
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Participate in client meetings to discuss technical requirements and provide expert advice
• Manage commissioning and testing of MEP systems
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for project handover

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in MEP engineering with specific focus on commercial office fit-outs
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection in commercial environments
• Knowledge of building automation systems and energy-efficient design practices
• Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards
• Proven track record of successful MEP project delivery
• Experience with MEP coordination tools and BIM software

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering license or certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with sustainable building practices and certification processes (LEED, WELL, etc.)
• Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
• Experience with construction management software

Working Conditions

May require travel to various project locations. Occasionally required to work outside normal business hours to accommodate project schedules.
