Job summary

Khan Academy India is seeking a Project Lead consultant to support the government school system in Uttar Pradesh. Based in Lucknow, you will coordinate with the Regional Head, North, and work with multiple Khan Academy India teams to implement the program at scale.

You will train education officials and teachers, drive data-backed insights, and build strong relationships with nodal officers and district stakeholders to improve adoption and impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in government or education sectors.
• Fluency in Hindi and English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Strong collaboration with diverse stakeholders and teams.
• Proven ability to navigate complex situations and make informed decisions.
• Excellent documentation and communication in English and Hindi.

Role

Khan Academy India is looking for a passionate individual to join the growing Schools Team as a Project Lead consultant, supporting the programme with the government school system in Uttar Pradesh. Based in Lucknow, the role will work with the Regional Head, North, driving implementation of the Khan Academy programme in collaboration with the Department of School Education, Lucknow, and closely with Content, Partner Operations, Teacher Professional Development, and Data and Efficacy teams.

Responsibilities

• Support programme implementation, working with the Regional Head, North, and state nodal officer of the Department of School Education
• Take ownership of work streams and deliver on pre-agreed goals
• Deliver and support training to education officials and teachers on a regular basis
• Follow up on training implementation to identify insights and challenges for continuous improvement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with nodal officers, state resource persons, district-level officers, and school stakeholders
• Gather data-backed insights to support programme and partner decision-making
• Conduct regular field visits (3-4/week) to generate insights that increase adoption and usage
• Document all state discussions in a standard format and keep internal and external stakeholders informed
• Analyze qualitative feedback from state systems and collaborate across Khan Academy India teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant work experience; experience as an educator or with government schools in Uttar Pradesh an added advantage
• Fluent in Hindi and English (reading, speaking, and writing)
• Strong collaborative mindset with ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to navigate complex situations and make informed decisions
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent ability to document and present information clearly in English and Hindi
• Comfortable working with large volumes of data, identifying trends, and drawing evidence-based conclusions
• Excellent communication skills across audiences and formats
