Job summary

You will own master planning, engineering integration, regulatory clearances, and procurement across EPC and PMC teams, delivering on time, budget, and clinical functionality to international standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of dedicated experience leading large-scale hospital project execution, with at least 5+ years in senior project leadership.
• Proven track record steering tertiary/quaternary care hospitals (500+ beds) through full lifecycle to clinical opening.
• High technical competence across hospital engineering, MEP redundancy, medical gas systems, infection control design, and healthcare codes.
• Exceptional ability to interface with diverse stakeholders—from board leadership to doctors, architects, contractors and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end master planning, critical path schedules, budget control across project interfaces.
• Coordinate clinical design and engineering integration with clinical leadership and architects.
• Drive site quality, safety governance, and execution standards with contractors, EPC partners, and PMC.
• Lead statutory approvals, clearances, and healthcare licensing with authorities.
• Oversee integration and commissioning of medical equipment, digital hospital infrastructure, and MEP systems.
• Direct pre-commissioning, snagging, and handover to clinical operations.

About the Opportunity

A leading Indian diversified conglomerate is establishing a state-of-the-art, integrated tertiary and quaternary-care healthcare campus.

We are seeking an exceptional and seasoned Head - Projects to take single-point leadership of this flagship greenfield development. This is not a conventional civil construction role—we are looking for a hospital project leader with deep technical expertise who will steer the asset from engineering and design through statutory approvals, commissioning, and final clinical operational readiness.

Core Mandate

Deliver a world-class, fully functional, and clinically operational hospital campus within targeted parameters of time, capital cost, clinical functionality, and international quality standards.

Lifecycle Accountability

Master Planning & Design ➔ Statutory Approvals ➔ Procurement & Contracts ➔ Construction & MEP ➔ Medical Equipment & Specialist Systems ➔ Testing & Commissioning ➔ Clinical Operational Handover

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Execution: Own overall master planning, critical path schedules, budget control, and multidisciplinary delivery across all project interfaces.
• Clinical Design & Engineering Integration: Partner with clinical leadership, medical planners, and architects to translate complex care workflows into built infrastructure (OTs, ICUs, diagnostics, CSSD, medical gas pipelines, MEP redundancies, and infection control).
• Site Delivery & Governance: Drive rigorous site quality, safety governance, and execution standards across contractors, EPC partners, and Project Management Consultants (PMC).
• Statutory & Regulatory Clearances: Spearhead end-to-end statutory approvals, clearances, and healthcare licensing with government and municipal authorities.
• Specialist Systems & Medical Technology: Oversee technical integration and commissioning of advanced biomedical equipment, digital hospital infrastructure, and MEP engineering systems.
• Testing, Commissioning & Handover: Lead integrated pre-commissioning, snagging, operational trials, and seamless transition to clinical operations.

Who We Are Looking For

• Track Record: Proven success in steering major tertiary/quaternary care hospitals (500+ beds) through the complete project lifecycle to final clinical opening.
• Domain Expertise: High degree of technical competence across hospital engineering, MEP redundancy, medical gas systems, infection control design, and specialized healthcare building codes.
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional leadership ability to interface comfortably across diverse stakeholders—from board leadership, doctors, and architects to contractors and statutory bodies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or relevant engineering field. A Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Construction Management / Project Management is strongly preferred.
