Job summary

NIIF Infrastructure Finance Limited in Delhi is seeking a Project Finance professional with 4–7 years of infrastructure lending experience. The role covers deal origination, credit appraisal, financial modelling, and negotiation across sectors including roads, energy, transport, warehousing and social infra.

You will coordinate with clients and internal teams, prepare credit notes, perform due diligence, and present recommendations to senior committees.

Qualifications

• CA or MBA from a Tier I/II college.
• Experience: 4–7 years (Associate).
• Experience in infrastructure/project finance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Origination of deals and credit appraisal with financial modelling for infrastructure/project financing.
• Liaise with clients for information gathering, due diligence, and term-sheet negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to bring the deal to closure.
• Prepare financial models and credit appraisal notes for committee approvals.
• Build complex financial modelling and conduct financial due diligence to evaluate project viability and risk mitigation.
• Negotiate with clients on terms and closing the deal in the company’s favour.
• Present facts and insights to committees and senior management.
• Develop sector expertise in at least one area (e.g., Renewable, Power, Transport, Warehousing, Social Infra).
• Sector experience: Renewable, Power, Transport (Road & Airport), Warehousing, Social Infra (Hospital, Education), Datacenter.

About the Role

The ideal candidate should have experience in project finance in any of the infrastructure sectors, such as Roads, Renewable energy, Power Transmission, Ports, Airports, Warehousing, Hospitals etc.

Responsibilities

• Origination of deals and business development: Managing Credit Appraisal and Financial modelling wrt infrastructure /project financing
• Liaising with clients for transaction activities like information gathering, due diligence, negotiation on term-sheets etc.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders (legal, risk, compliance, syndication bank etc/client) to bring the deal to closure
• Making a Financial model and writing credit appraisal notes for committee approval wrt infrastructure /project financing
• Build complex financial Modelling and conduct Financial Due Diligence to evaluate project viability and recommend risk mitigation
• Negotiation with Clients (on the Termsheet) on regular transactions and bringing the deal to closure in the company's favour.
• Negotiation with borrowers on complex transactions and closing the deal in the company's favour.
• Presenting to various committees facts, data, insights, assumptions and responding to queries by senior management and Directors.
• Sector Expertise in a minimum of 1 sector (Subject Matter expert). Sector landscape, opportunities, competition.
• Sector experience: Renewable, Power, Transport (Road & Airport), Warehousing, Social Infra (Hospital, Education), Datacenter etc
