Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced environmental professional to lead and deliver on complex environmental projects in India. The role requires a Master’s-level qualification in environmental disciplines and at least 8 years of sector experience, including data collection, LCA, waste management, air quality modelling and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in environmental disciplines with relevant field experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental sector.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis of environmental data.
  • Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
  • Knowledge of solid waste management and circular economy.
  • Experience in air quality modelling and mitigation measures.
  • Experience assessing environmental impacts and recommending mitigations.
  • Experience preparing environmental reports and EMPs and obtaining statutory clearances.
  • Experience developing ESG strategy and reporting.
  • Experience coordinating stakeholder consultations, workshops and trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and collect primary and secondary environmental data.
  • Perform analysis and interpretation of data to support environmental decisions.
  • Lead or contribute to Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and environmental modelling.
  • Develop and implement solid waste management improvements and circular economy initiatives.
  • Assess environmental impacts and propose mitigation measures.
  • Prepare environmental reports and EMPs and assist in statutory clearance applications.
  • Support ESG strategy development and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate stakeholder consultations, workshops, and trainings.

Job Description
  • Masters in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science/ Environmental Management/ Environmental Sustainability
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the Environmental Sector
  • Site visit, data collection and analysis of primary and secondary data
  • Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
  • Solid Waste Management and Compliances
  • Circular Economy
  • Air Quality Modelling and mitigation measures
  • Assessment of environmental impacts and provide mitigation measures
  • Preparation of Environmental report and EMP
  • Prepare application for Statutory Clearances and Consent to Establish/ Operate
  • Preparation of ESG strategy and reporting
  • Stakeholder consultations, workshops, and trainings
  • Support in preparation proposals
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
