Job summary

Hitachi in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the Propulsion, APS and TCMS supply project organization. The role involves preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring assigned engineering projects from Bangalore, with other locations depending on project phase.

You will monitor QA/QC compliance, interact with clients, and coordinate interfaces between TCMS and subsystems to ensure high-quality software deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as a project engineer or relevant experience like general consultant etc.
  • Project management and supervision skills.
  • Decision making ability and leadership skills.
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • Requirement management.
  • Working experience with Japanese/European engineers is an added advantage.
  • Bachelor of Electrical or electronics or communication degree in Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  • Interface between TCMS and subsystems including signalling for ensuring the quality of the software deliverables of both TCMS and subsystems.
  • Prepare and review design documents, test specifications with respect to the design requirements collected from the customer.
  • Support the T&C team during tests by providing technical information.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

Role & responsibilities
