Job summary

Novel Office in Bengaluru, India is seeking a project management professional to oversee planning, estimation, scheduling and coordination for residential and commercial projects. You will liaise with US-based project teams and vendors to ensure milestones, budgets and quality standards are met from planning through execution.

The role requires strong ability to read construction drawings and knowledge of building codes, with willingness to work a US shift (6:00 AM to 3:00 PM IST).

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural plans, layouts, finishes, specifications, and building codes to understand project requirements and identify potential issues at the planning stage.
• Prepare and review floor plans, material takeoffs, quantity estimates, cost estimates, and project schedules for residential and commercial projects.
• Read, interpret, and coordinate information from construction drawings, architectural plans, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Work closely with US-based project teams, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure requirements, timelines, and deliverables are clearly understood.
• Track project progress against scope, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations, and provide regular updates to the relevant teams.
• Coordinate project activities from planning and estimation through execution, ensuring smooth communication between all stakeholders.
• Ensure project plans and execution are aligned with applicable building codes, regulations, specifications, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, estimates, schedules, and progress records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in evaluating changes in scope, materials, quantities, and costs and communicate their impact on project timelines and budgets.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred but any graduates can apply.
• Experience in project management, construction estimation, scheduling, quantity takeoffs, and plan preparation.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction processes and building codes.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Experience working with US-based construction projects or clients will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to work in a US shift - 6:00 AM 3:00 PM IST.
