Job summary

HR Central is seeking a Senior/Project Engineer for its Gurugram delivery hub with strong experience in US construction, MEP coordination, and project engineering. The role requires managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and detailed drawing reviews across multiple trades.

The selected candidate will coordinate with US project managers, support QA/QC, and mentor junior engineers. On-site work in Gurugram is mandatory, with an in-person selection drive in Jaipur on a specified date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering/architecture field.
• Experience in construction management or global design delivery centers, preferably US/international.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and drawing interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end construction workflows including submittals, RFIs and change orders.
• Lead daily coordination with US project managers during evening calls.
• Review drawings, perform 2D overlays, and identify clashes across trades.
• Assist with initial quantity take-offs and execution planning for new projects.
• Enforce QA/QC benchmarks across deliverables and documentation.
• Oversee cloud-based document management platforms and approvals.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge with delivery teams.

About the Client & Opportunity:

Our client is an established global engineering solutions firm operating a high-performance Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Gurugram, serving one of the largest Tier-1 general contractors in the United States. They provide critical project engineering, VDC coordination, and construction administration for marquee American commercial towers, mission-critical infrastructure, and hyperscale facilities. As the GDC expands, this role offers direct exposure to US construction lifecycles, project controls, and executive stakeholder coordination from their Gurugram office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end technical construction workflows, including submittals review, RFIs, change order processing, and general project engineering tasks.
• Lead daily engineering coordination with US project managers during evening crossover calls to review status updates and resolve technical roadblocks.
• Perform detailed drawing reviews, 2D overlays, and clash identification across architectural, structural, and MEP trades.
• Support project managers with initial quantity take-offs (QTO) and resource estimation in terms of hours, scope, and execution planning for incoming projects.
• Enforce rigorous Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) benchmarks across all project deliverables and documentation.
• Oversee cloud-based construction document management platforms to track revisions, submittal logs, and client approvals.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical knowledge-sharing sessions for delivery teams and trade partners.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Experience: 5 to 8 years of proven experience in construction management or global design delivery centers (prior exposure to US/international projects preferred).
• Technical Competence: Hands-on experience with submittal workflows, RFI creation, change orders, and reading complex architectural/engineering drawing sets.
• Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), or related estimation tools; proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Exposure to BIM/Revit workflows is an advantage.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills for direct coordination with American stakeholders.
• Logistics: Available to attend the face-to-face selection drive in Jaipur on September 26, 2026, and open to working full-time on-site in Gurugram.
