Job summary

ABB's Distribution Solutions Division in Vadodara, India is seeking an engineer to act as a design authority for electrical disciplines with low to medium complexity. You will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner and apply design thinking concepts in projects.

This role contributes to the Electrification business in the Distribution Solutions division and reports to the Project Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in Designing of SCADA and Sub-Station Automation, Preparing Functional Design System, Preparing Architecture, IO (input / output) list etc.
• Hands on experience in ABB Zenon or Zenon (any).
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of IEC 61850, Modbus TCP/IP and Numerical relays - advantage
• You are at ease communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
• Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

This Position reports to: Project Operations Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Vadodara, India.

You will be mainly accountable for

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
• Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Qualifications For The Role
