Leading Industrial Automation Company in Guindy, Chennai, is seeking a Project Engineer — PLC & Automation with 4–7 years of hands-on experience. The role covers PLC programming, HMI/SCADA design, panel wiring, and site commissioning for Siemens-based control systems.

You will handle FAT/SAT, field instrument calibration, and coordination with mechanical/electrical teams to ensure smooth project handover. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years hands-on experience in PLC automation projects, preferably with Siemens.
• Strong proficiency in TIA Portal, STEP 7, WinCC for PLC HMI programming.
• Good knowledge of electrical control panel wiring, relays, MCBs, drives, and field instruments.
• Ability to read and work from electrical schematics, GA drawings, and loop diagrams.
• Diploma/B.E in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Modify, develop, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs using TIA Portal and STEP 7.
• Design functional HMI/SCADA layouts and wire control panels per schematics.
• Install, wire, and calibrate field instruments; perform FAT/SAT and commissioning.
• Diagnose faults on-site and in remote environments; produce as-built diagrams and reports.

About the Role

We are a leading industrial automation company executing PLC, SCADA, and control panel projects for manufacturing, pharma, and process industries. We’re looking for a hands‑on Project Engineer — PLC based in Guindy to handle programming, panel wiring, and site commissioning for Siemens‑based control systems.

1. PLC Programming & Hardware

Modify, develop, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs using TIA Portal and STEP 7.

• Configure, maintain, and commission Siemens PLCs including S7-1200 and S7-1500 systems.
• Ensure programs meet logic, safety, and process requirements per client specs.

2. HMI/SCADA & Panel Work

Design and implement functional HMI/SCADA layouts for operator ease and process monitoring.

• Execute hands‑on installation and wiring of electrical control panels as per schematics.
• Interpret electrical drawings, control panel schematics, P&IDs, and process documents accurately.

3. Field Execution & Commissioning

Install, wire, and calibrate field instruments at client project sites.

• Execute FAT/SAT, site testing, commissioning, and startup activities at client facilities.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and process teams for smooth project handover.

4. Troubleshooting & Documentation

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair control system and hardware faults on‑site and remotely.

• Prepare clean technical reports, as‑built wiring diagrams, and user manuals post‑commissioning.
• Maintain project documentation and update stakeholders on progress/issues.

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have: 4–7 years hands‑on experience in PLC automation projects, preferably with Siemens.

• Strong proficiency in TIA Portal, STEP 7, WinCC for PLC HMI programming.
• Good knowledge of electrical control panel wiring, relays, MCBs, drives, and field instruments.

Good to Have

• Willingness for travel to client sites across Tamil Nadu for commissioning.
