Project Engineer – Mechanical
Project Engineer, Mechanical with strong expertise in the design and documentation of pressure vessels and static equipment. The role involves end-to-end engineering responsibility, client interaction, and collaboration with global teams to ensure compliance with ASME standards and project specifications.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Design vertical and horizontal pressure vessels in compliance with ASME Section VIII Div.1 using tools such as Compress, PV Elite, and Nozzle Pro.
- Lead technical discussions with clients, fabricators, and cross‑functional teams to define scope and resolve design queries.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation including construction notes, weld maps, data books, and ITPs per client requirements.
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation & selection (level gauges, switches, valves) based on process and operational needs.
- Conduct peer reviews of 3D models, GA drawings, and internal assemblies to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based engineering teams for design validation, technical reviews, and compliance assurance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Participate in project kick‑off meetings and gain a proper understanding of the scope of work as well as project / client specifications.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1/Div. 2 and related codes (ASTM, B16.5, B16.47, B31.3, B31.8).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CREO, PV Elite, Compress, Nozzle Pro.
- Experience preparing engineering documentation and quality assurance deliverables.
- Ability to lead client‑facing technical discussions and provide clear, professional communication.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in global engineering environments.
