Job summary

Smard Modular in India is seeking an experienced ELV/MEP Project Engineer to plan, manage and deliver end-to-end ELV system execution across commercial, healthcare, and industrial sites in Kerala or Odisha.

You will review ELV shop drawings, SLDs, BOQs and specifications, supervise installation, testing and commissioning of CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA, BMS, structured cabling, and Nurse Call Systems, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project schedules

Qualifications

• ELV/MEP field installation, testing and commissioning experience.
• Ability to read MEP/ELV drawings and AutoCAD.
• Experience in BOQ preparation and material reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and deliver end-to-end execution of Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems across commercial, healthcare, and industrial project sites.
• Prepare and review ELV shop drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Public Address (PA), Building Management Systems (BMS), structured cabling, and Nurse Call Systems (NCS).
• Coordinate actively with clients, MEP consultants, contractors, sub-vendors, and internal project teams to ensure alignment with project schedules and technical standards.
• Monitor day-to-day site progress, manage manpower deployment, track material deliveries, and resolve site installation issues.
• Ensure strict adherence to project quality standards, safety protocols, and MEP compliance guidelines.

Candidate Profile

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven site execution experience in ELV / MEP systems.
• Core Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting MEP/ELV drawings and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity measurement, and material reconciliation.
  • Good vendor coordination, team leadership, and on-site communication skills.
• Willingness to Relocate/Travel: Open to project site postings in Kerala or Odisha.
