Job summary

Jobitus in Pune seeks a Project Engineer - Automation with 2–5 years of hands-on PLC/SCADA experience to drive automation projects end-to-end. You will translate process descriptions into robust control logic, configure SCADA interfaces, and support field integration across sites in India.

You will work with Siemens, Allen Bradley and Fuji platforms, develop PID controls, and coordinate with panel builders and engineers to ensure smooth commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation.
• 2–5 years of relevant automation experience.
• Hands-on PLC/SCADA integration and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Study process descriptions, specifications and P&IDs to build PLC logic, sequences and interlocks.
• Develop, test and troubleshoot PLC programs on Siemens, Allen Bradley, Fuji and similar platforms.
• Configure SCADA/HMI apps with graphics, alarms, trends, reports and data logging.
• Set up PID loops for temperature, humidity, pressure, flow and safety interlocks.
• Integrate sensors, transmitters, valves, actuators and field devices.
• Perform I/O checks, loop validation, calibration and PLC-SCADA testing.
• Prepare P&IDs, I/O lists, instrument lists and control panel drawings.
• Create BOQs, specs and technical comparisons for PLC/SCADA systems.
• Conduct offline simulations, FAT/SAT and on-site commissioning.
• Troubleshoot PLC/SCADA, instrumentation and control issues during testing.
• Coordinate with panel builders, vendors and international partners.
• Train customers on operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain backups, version control and project handover docs.
• Travel across India for commissioning and support; explore IoT/AI/cloud for monitoring.

Position: Project Engineer - Automation

Location: Pune

Responsibilities:

• Study process descriptions, functional specifications, and P&IDs, and convert them into PLC control logic, sequences, interlocks, alarms, and operating modes.


• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Siemens, Allen Bradley, Fuji, and similar PLC platforms.


• Develop and configure SCADA/HMI applications, including process graphics, alarms, trends, reports, recipes, user access, and data logging.


• Configure PID control loops for temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, and differential pressure applications, including VFD and safety interlock configuration.


• Select and integrate sensors, transmitters, control valves, actuators, dampers, flow meters, analyzers, and other field instruments.


• Perform I/O checking, loop checking, calibration verification, field-device integration, and PLC-SCADA communication testing.


• Prepare and update P&IDs, I/O lists, instrument lists, cause-and-effect matrices, control panel drawings, functional descriptions, and other engineering documents.


• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and technical comparisons for PLC/SCADA systems, control panels, and instrumentation.


• Conduct offline simulations, internal testing, FAT, SAT, functional testing, and on-site commissioning activities.


• Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, communication, instrumentation, and control-system issues during testing and commissioning.


• Coordinate with panel builders, electrical contractors, vendors, mechanical/HVAC teams, project managers, and international technology partners.


• Provide technical support to customers and train client operators and maintenance personnel on system operation and basic troubleshooting.


• Maintain PLC program backups, version control, as-built documentation, test records, and project handover documents.


• Travel to project sites across India for commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, and customer support as required.


• Explore and support IoT, cloud, and AI-based solutions for remote monitoring, energy management, predictive maintenance, and performance monitoring.
