Job summary

Sahaj Solar Limited is seeking a Project Engineer to spearhead Solar PV and PM-KUSUM water pumping projects. The role involves site surveys, technical assessment, project execution, installation and commissioning across project sites.

The candidate should have a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Renewable Energy or related field with 1–3 years of relevant experience and willingness to travel extensively; knowledge of solar components and electrical drawings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Renewable Energy or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in solar/PM-KUSUM projects.
• Practical knowledge of solar panels and solar water pumping systems.
• Ability to independently conduct site surveys and prepare reports.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct solar PV and PM-KUSUM solar pump site surveys.
• Assess site feasibility, shading, land/roof area, borewell, water source, pump requirements and electrical infrastructure.
• Check pump capacity, head, discharge, pipeline and cable requirements.
• Prepare site survey reports, measurements, photographs and technical documentation.
• Understand solar modules, inverters, pump controllers, motors, structures, cables, earthing and protection systems.
• Read and understand SLDs and electrical drawings.
• Assist in BOQ/BOM, system sizing and material planning.
• Coordinate installation, testing and commissioning at project sites.
• Coordinate with customers/farmers, contractors, vendors and DISCOM/department officials.
• Identify and resolve site-level technical issues.
• Ensure quality, safety and timely project execution.
• Travel to project sites as required.

Required Skills & Eligibility

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Renewable Energy or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in solar/PM-KUSUM projects preferred.
• Good practical knowledge of solar panels and solar water pumping systems.
• Ability to independently conduct site surveys and prepare reports.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, SLDs and solar system components.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites is mandatory.
• Valid driving licence will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with hands-on PM-KUSUM Solar Pump experience and experience dealing with farmers, site surveys, installation and commissioning will be given preference.
