About The Role

This role will be responsible for new product development for HVAC Light commercials and VRF.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead/ support cooling system (HVAC) engineering programs from concept through validation and release, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, timelines, and business objectives.
• Develop comprehensive program plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation, to ensure successful program execution.
• Follow, develop & maintain system‑level engineering plans, including scope definition, technical deliverables, design milestones, and resource coordination.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and system‑level risks related to cooling performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Define, track, and review engineering KPIs such as cooling performance, efficiency, reliability, validation status, and schedule adherence.
• Ensure cooling system designs comply with applicable regulations, standards, and internal engineering processes (e.g., HVAC codes, safety, quality, and stage‑gate requirements).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cooling system design practices, tools, and best practices.
• Must have a background in HVAC&R or related Industry.

Requirements

• Target experience level: 4–8 years.
• HVAC Light commercial / VRF & Residential new product development experience is required.
• Proven experience in cooling system design, development, or system engineering.
• On‑hand experience designing inverter systems, heat exchangers, refrigeration cycle and its balancing for new product/concept.
• Clear understanding of standard framework (BIS, ISO, BEE, IEC) for HVAC products.
• Solid understanding of product development, lifecycle and engineering governance.
• Knowledge & hands‑on experience in simulation tools (Model based design).
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional and global teams.
• Motivated to work individually and with team – locally and globally.
• Hands‑on experience on the manufacturing process, FMEA and quality systems.
• Experience with ECR/ECIN process.
• Exposure to design software: ProE / Creo, AutoCAD mandatory.
• Proficiency in MS office suites e.g. PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel.
