Job summary

Forbes & Company is seeking a Project Engineer to drive project execution in Industrial Automation / Machine Building environments. The role requires coordinating mechanical, electrical, assembly, and software activities with cross-functional teams.

Candidate should have a Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of experience in project execution, with a focus on quality and cost control. SAP and MS Office proficiency is desirable.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project execution in Industrial Automation / Machine Building / Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day project execution and ensure timely completion of activities.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, assembly, and software activities.
• Coordinate with Project Owners and cross-functional teams.
• Follow up on material availability, drawings, and project requirements.
• Monitor milestones and escalate delays.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, and resources.
• Monitor project costs and highlight budget deviations.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Project Engineer

1. Project Execution & Monitoring

• Monitor day-to-day project execution and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, assembly, and software activities.

2. Project Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate with Project Owners and cross-functional teams.
• Follow up on material availability, drawings, and project requirements.
• Monitor project milestones and escal delays.

3. Cost & Resource Management

• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, and resources.
• Monitor project costs and highlight budget deviations.

4. Technical & Quality Compliance

• Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.

5. Documentation & SAP Activities

• Maintain project documentation and MIS reports as per QMS requirements.
• Carry out necessary SAP activities and ensure data accuracy.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Production, Quality, Assembly, Electrical, and Software teams.
• Ensure timely resolution of project-related issues.

7. Project Closure

• Ensure completion of assigned project activities and deliverables.
• Support final inspection, commissioning, documentation, and project handover.

. Qualification & Experience

• Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical.

• Experience: min 5 years of relevant experience in project execution, preferably in Industrial Automation / Machine Building / Engineering industries.
