Job summary

Kobelco Industrial Machinery India Pvt Ltd in Chennai seeks a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to lead project design reviews and ensure system configurations meet client specifications. You will coordinate with clients, vendors and internal teams to size equipment and prepare documentation for submittals.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering, strong writing skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office. This on-site position calls for proactive leadership and multi-project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• More than 5 years work experience in an engineering environment.
• Experience with reciprocating compressors or other compressors (Screw or Centrifugal type).
• Experience with EPC environment preferably in carbon neutral, oil and gas industry, petrochemical, power generation.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal documents and project specifications to implement into system design.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering fields
• Masters / Advanced degree is a preferred.
• More than 5 years work experience in an engineering environment is a must.
• Experience in Compressor manufactures, EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) environment preferably in carbon neutral, oil and gas industry, petrochemical, power generation, gas/air separation.
• Experience with applications in reciprocating compressors or other compressors (Screw or Centrifugal type).
• Proficient in Auto desk Auto CAD, & Microsoft Office.
