Burckhardt Compression AG is seeking an experienced engineer to prepare technical proposals for reciprocating gas compressors, review customer specs, and prepare pre-bid queries and deviation lists. The role involves drafting quotations for major auxiliaries and coordinating with CAD, quality, design, and procurement to ensure accurate, compliant submissions.

Global installation experience and strong knowledge of API standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar education.
• Experience in API618 Reciprocating compressors or other rotating equipment in oil & gas industry.
• Experience for projects in global installations is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of API standards such as API 618, API 614, API 610, API 670, API 671.

Responsabilités

• Prepare complete technical proposals for Reciprocating gas compressors per company standard.
• Review customer specifications and prepare pre-bid queries and deviation lists.
• Prepare requests for quotation for major auxiliaries and follow up with suppliers for quotes.
• Interface with CAD and quality to prepare documentation for firm quotations such as ITP, P&ID and GA.
• Interface with Design for sizing compressors and ensure compliance with codes and standards for different regions.
• Interface with Procurement for negotiated cost of bought-out items within the package.
• Prepare cost sheets with high accuracy based on RFQ scope.
• Participate in technical clarification meetings with Front Sales.
• Respond to technical queries post bid submission and clarify scope of supply.
• Ensure project-specific risk analysis before award of order.

Experience, Education, Language:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar education.
• Experience in API618 Reciprocating compressors or other Rotating equipment in oil & gas industry.
• Experience for projects in global installations (Outside India) is preferred.
• Sound Knowledge of various standards like API 618, API 614, API 610, API 670, API 671 etc.
• Experience in reviewing high demanding specifications of EPC and End Users.
• Experience in compressor auxiliaries like Oil console, Water console, Coupling, Pressure vessel, Piping & valves etc.
• Sound understanding of motor & instrumentation, control system, machine monitoring system, capacity control system for Hazardous / Safe area.
• Experience in preparation of detailed cost sheet and technical tender for a complex project in Oil & Gas industry.
