Job summary

Softcon Systems in Bengaluru is seeking a Project Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in automation projects. You will contribute to design, programming, and on-site commissioning of PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems under the guidance of the Project Manager.

Candidates should hold BE or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/ETC, be able to read technical documents, prepare URS, FAT/SAT, and manage project documentation to satisfy customer requirements.

Qualifications

• BE or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or E&TC.
• 3–4 years of automation project experience.
• Ability to read technical documents and URS.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI/DCS systems.

Responsibilities

• Kick off meetings with sales and marketing to understand customer requirements under the project manager.
• Understand and design automation systems on assigned projects.
• Prepare URS and work against designed projects.
• Select correct P&ID per project.
• Prepare SACDA and PLC programming with software team.
• Execute project implementation, commissioning and installation of PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS and Rockwell/Siemens/Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Prepare, review and execute FAT/SAT.
• Identify and manage technical project risks with appropriate tools and implement countermeasures.

Responsibilities

• Kick of meetings with sales & marketing team to understand customer s requirements under the guidance of project manager.
• Understand and design automation systems on the assigned projects.
• Preparation of URS, working against designed projects.
• Selection of correct P&ID as per project.
• SACDA preparations, PLC programming along with software development programming team.
• Complete project execution and commissioning & installation of PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, Rockwell PLC/ Siemens PLC, Allen Bradley PLC.
• Preparation, review & execution of FAT/ SAT.
• Identify, understand and manage technical project risks using appropriate tools for risk analysis and set up the required technical counter measures.
