Job summary

Swan Corp is seeking a proactive Project Coordinator- Refits to support planning, execution, and delivery of ship repair, retrofit, dry docking, and vessel conversion projects at Pipavav, Gujarat. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, monitoring schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline.
• 812 years of experience in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Dry Docking, Marine Retrofit, or Offshore Projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end execution of ship repair, retrofit, dry docking, and vessel conversion projects.
• Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Track project milestones, critical paths, and daily progress, ensuring timely completion of work packages.
• Coordinate with Production, Design, Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Commercial, and Subcontractors for seamless project execution.
• Monitor material availability, vendor deliveries, and manpower deployment to support project schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Identify schedule deviations, project risks, and bottlenecks, and support mitigation plans.
• Coordinate technical queries, inspections, class surveys, client meetings, and document approvals.
• Assist in change management, variation orders, and tracking additional work during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, class regulations, and HSE policies.
• Support budget tracking, project cost monitoring, and resource utilization.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, action trackers, and project dashboards.
• Liaise with ship owners, classification societies, consultants, and vendors to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 812 years of experience in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Dry Docking, Marine Retrofit, or Offshore Projects.
• Experience coordinating refit, repair, conversion, or maintenance projects in a shipyard environment.
• Strong understanding of ship repair methodologies, dry docking activities, and marine production processes.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.
• Familiarity with classification society requirements is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.

Preferred Experience

• Ship repair, retrofit, or vessel conversion projects.
• Defence, commercial, offshore, or offshore support vessels.
• Dry docking, BWTS/Scrubber retrofits, steel renewal, piping, mechanical, electrical, or structural modifications.
