Coforge is seeking an experienced Technical Program / Project Manager to lead travel and airline technology transformations, with a focus on Passenger Service Systems (PSS). The role demands strong stakeholder management, delivery governance, and cross-functional team leadership across offshore and onsite locations.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in PM/Delivery within travel or aviation, familiarity with PSS, and certifications like PMP/PRINCE2.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Project/Programme/Delivery Management.
• Strong Travel/Aviation domain experience, with PSS exposure.
• Experience with complex integration and digital transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Expertise in project planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience with reporting tools and client-facing communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Travel and Airline technology programs.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and resource planning.
• Work closely with airlines, business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and third-party vendors.
• Drive implementation and enhancement initiatives related to Passenger Service Systems (PSS).
• Coordinate multiple workstreams including Reservations, Inventory, Departure Control System (DCS), Loyalty, and Ancillary Services.
• Establish project governance frameworks and ensure timely status reporting to senior leadership.
• Manage program risks, issues, escalations, and mitigation plans.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, steering committees, and executive reviews.
• Ensure successful deployment, transition, and hypercare support activities.
• Lead distributed teams across offshore, onsite, and client locations.

Role: Technical Program / Project Manager

Experience: 12+ Years

Travel Requirement: Candidates must be willing to relocate and work onsite in Nairobi for approximately 10 months as part of the engagement.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program / Project Manager with a strong background in the Travel and Airline industry, particularly Passenger Service Systems (PSS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading large-scale transformation, implementation, integration, and modernization initiatives while managing stakeholder relationships, delivery governance, and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, or Delivery Management.
• Strong experience in Travel, Aviation, or Airline domain.
• Hands-on exposure to Passenger Service Systems (PSS).
• Experience managing complex integration and digital transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Expertise in project planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, and reporting tools.
• Excellent client-facing, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multicultural teams and work in a highly dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with airline platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, Navitaire, or similar PSS solutions.
• Exposure to airport operations, reservations, ticketing, check-in, departure control, and loyalty systems.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, or Scrum certifications preferred.
• Experience managing international programs and onsite customer engagement.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master's degree or Project Management certifications will be an added advantage.
