Job summary

YO HR Consultancy is seeking a Program Manager Manufacturing Excellence to work closely with the MD in Kolkata, leading transformation across manufacturing operations, process improvements, and new business initiatives.

The role requires 4+ years in manufacturing and program management, PMP certification, and strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder skills; relocation to Kolkata with travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as Chief of Staff to the MD to drive strategic priorities and ensure execution across functions.
• Program manage the transformation agenda in manufacturing excellence, customer centricity, digital initiatives, and international expansion.
• Coordinate and track outcomes across the Management Committee, ensuring alignment and delivery.
• Lead high-impact projects in operations, growth strategy, and organizational capability over time.
• Support strategy formulation and execution for core and new businesses including battery materials and specialty chemicals.
• Develop stakeholder engagement plans and review business presentations for board updates.

Program Manager Manufacturing Excellence to MD

Experience: 3 to 5 years. Location: Kolkata.

Must have:

• Experience in manufacturing (operations, process, or projects).
• Experience in program management, Strong analytical, Communication, stakeholder management skills.
• PMP Certification.

Note: This will be a unique, high-visibility role directly working with the MD during a pivotal phase of clients transformation; covering efficiency, growth, customer excellence, and new businesses. It offers unparalleled exposure across strategy, operations, and leadership, preparing the individual for senior business roles within the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Chief of Staff to the MD drive strategic priorities and ensure seamless execution across functions.
• Program manage the transformation agenda manufacturing excellence, customer centricity (KAM), digital initiatives, and international expansion.
• Coordinate and track outcomes across the Management Committee, ensuring alignment and delivery.
• Lead and execute independent high-impact projects in operations, growth strategy, and organizational capability over time.
• Support strategy formulation and execution for core and new businesses including battery materials, specialty chemicals, and adjacencies.
• Develop and monitor advocacy and stakeholder engagement plans (internal and external).
• Prepare and review business presentations, dashboards, and management updates for board and group reviews.

Profile Requirements

• Engineering and or business graduate with minimum 4 years in manufacturing (operations, process, or projects).
• Experience in program management, consulting, or business transformation preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ambitious, structured, and able to thrive in a high-intensity environment.
• Willing to relocate to Kolkata and travel as needed.
