Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Design: Develop project strategies, work plans, and interventions for Solid Waste management Projects.
• Implementation & Execution: Oversee day-to-day activities, manage budgets, and ensure quality delivery of program components.
• Team Leadership: Guide, train, and supervise field teams, officers, and partners, fostering collaboration and skill development.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with government bodies, ULBs, Municipal Corporations, community groups and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): Design and implement M&E frameworks, track progress, analyze data, and report outcomes.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports for stakeholders, document best practices, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Capacity Building: Organize training, workshops, and support staff/partners to enhance their skills.

Kushaagra Innovations Foundation, Pune (KIF) is an implementation agency delivering integrated Waste Management Solutions to value waste and thus reduce waste going to landfill. Our expertise also lies in technical advisory and capacity-building programs. We work closely with respective Government departments, Urban local bodies across Maharashtra for the same.

Being a section 8 company, KIF is a not-for-profit organization. We are in need of candidates from social background (such as MSW), Technical expertise (such as Urban Planners), and Environmental studies (Bachelors / Masters in Environmental Planning) in addition positions in Data, Research, etc. are also there.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in program management, with 5+ years in Solid Waste Management.
• Knowledge: Understanding of India's development landscape (SWM Rules 2016, ESG, Environment Protection Act, Initiatives like Swachh Bharat Mission, 4Rs etc).
• Focus on: Livlihoods Generation & Enterprise, Capacity Building, Behaviour Change
• Communication: Excellent written and oral skills for diverse audiences. Fluency in English & Marathi essential.
• Technical: Proficiency in MS Office, M&E tools, and virtual/in-person adult learning.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, relationship-building, and solution oriented approach.
