Qualifications

  • Master's degree and 5–8 years of relevant experience in programme documentation or communications.
  • Experience in donor reporting, success stories, and knowledge management.
  • Experience creating content for websites, social media and communication materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute programme documentation and communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with programme teams to document achievements, challenges and learnings.
  • Prepare success stories, case studies and other knowledge products.
  • Maintain central repository of programme reports, photos, videos and presentations.
  • Assist teams in quarterly, annual and donor report preparation.
  • Review and edit reports for accuracy and donor standards.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across materials.
  • Draft content for reports, proposals, newsletters, websites, blogs and speeches.
  • Create materials for internal and external stakeholders, including infographics and briefing notes.
  • Develop website and social media content to enhance visibility.
  • Design collateral for events, trainings and campaigns.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by the reporting manager.

The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding Policy & Gender Equality Policy.

KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Manager willwork closely with the Plan India Programme and Communication team, and support in program documentation and reporting.

  • Develop and execute programme documentation and communication strategies in line with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Collaborate with programme teams to gather, validate, and document project achievements, innovations, challenges, and key learnings.
  • Prepare high-quality success stories, case studies, human-interest stories, best practices, and other knowledge products highlighting programme impact.
  • Maintain and update a centralized repository of programme reports, photographs, videos, presentations, and other communication resources for knowledge management.
  • Assist programme teams in the timely preparation of quarterly, annual, and donor reports.
  • Review, edit, and proofread reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, quality, and compliance with organizational and donor standards.
  • Ensure uniformity in messaging, branding, formatting, and visual identity across all programme communication materials.
  • Draft, edit, and refine content for reports, proposals, concept notes, newsletters, brochures, website articles, blogs, speeches, briefing notes, presentations, and other communication products.
  • Develop communication materials for internal and external stakeholders, including presentations, fact sheets, infographics, promotional materials, and briefing documents.
  • Create engaging content for the organization’s website and social media platforms to enhance programme visibility and outreach.
  • Design and produce communication collaterals for programme events, workshops, trainings, campaigns, consultations, and project launches.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager in support of programme communication and documentation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in programme documentation, communications, or knowledge management.
  • Experience in donor reporting, success story development, and programme documentation.
  • Experience in developing content for websites, social media, and communication materials.
  • Prior experience in the development/non-profit sector is preferred.
COMPETENCIES
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and content development abilities.
  • Effective coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Canva/Adobe Creative Suite is an added advantage.
