Exide Energy Solutions Limited is investing $500+ Mn dollars to setup India’s first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium-Ion Cells at Devanahalli Industrial Area in Bengaluru. Exide Energy designs, develops, and manufactures Lithium Ion Cells and Battery Pack solutions for various energy storage. Role Purpose:

Own shift-level manufacturing governance across the Cell Manufacturing Gigafactory by leading cross-functional execution to ensure safe, stable, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations while providing timely operational visibility to leadership.

Manufacturing Environment:

This role supports a highly automated, high-volume lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility where tightly coupled processes, stringent environmental controls, contamination-sensitive operations, and high equipment utilization demand exceptional operational discipline. Success requires maintaining process stability, ensuring end-to-end material traceability, rapidly containing manufacturing abnormalities, and driving cross-functional execution to consistently deliver safe, high-quality cells with maximum throughput and yield.

• This role operates in a highly automated, high-volume lithium-ion cell manufacturing environment where manufacturing stability, process consistency, product quality, and operational discipline directly impact plant performance. The Program Manager is expected to:
• Lead shift-level manufacturing governance and serve as the primary cross-functional coordinator, ensuring seamless execution across all manufacturing and support functions. Drive uninterrupted production by maintaining manufacturing readiness through effective coordination of people, materials, equipment, utilities, production planning, and operational support.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to standardized work, approved manufacturing processes, operational controls, and disciplined execution in a precision-driven, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Operate with a strong understanding that lithium-ion cell manufacturing is highly sensitive to process variation, contamination, environmental conditions, equipment reliability, and material handling discipline, proactively identifying and mitigating risks before they impact production, quality, safety, or customer delivery.
• Drive a quality-at-source culture by preventing defects through robust process execution, rapid containment of manufacturing abnormalities, structured problem-solving, and permanent corrective actions.
• Balance production throughput, product quality, equipment availability, and manufacturing stability by enabling timely decision-making, effective issue resolution, and proactive risk escalation during production shifts.
• Monitor manufacturing performance using operational data and trends to identify improvement opportunities, prevent production losses, and provide timely operational visibility to plant leadership.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen process capability, manufacturing robustness, and production scalability.
