Job Description

The Professor – Paediatrics will be responsible for providing advanced clinical and academic education in paediatrics, supervising patient care, guiding residents and research, conducting academic assessments, and promoting high standards of child and adolescent healthcare.

• Deliver comprehensive lectures on Paediatrics and related subjects.
• Conduct bedside teaching, clinical demonstrations, tutorials, and case discussions.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate paediatric education.
• Evaluate and manage infants, children, and adolescents with acute and chronic conditions.
• Guide residents in paediatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Mentor Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Senior Residents, and Tutors.
• Supervise inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and paediatric ward services.
• Provide expert guidance in complex paediatric cases.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging, and other diagnostic findings.
• Supervise neonatal and paediatric emergency care as appropriate.
• Conduct clinical examinations, practical assessments, and viva voce.
• Guide students and residents in research projects, dissertations, and publications.
• Lead departmental research activities and promote evidence-based paediatric practice.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical conferences.
