• Collect, record and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results and reports.
• Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications and transactions per hospital policies.
• Perform major, planned, emergency and minor surgeries.
• Explain procedures or prescribed treatments to patients.
• Liaise with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.
• Promote health education with other health professionals.
• Stay up-to-date with medical developments, treatment and medications.
• Teach as per timetable and assess trainees and medical students.
• Supervise junior doctors and faculty members to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prescribe medication in line with state and Govt statutes.
• Evaluate effectiveness of current care methods and suggest improvements.
• Assist senior leadership in identifying and resolving workplace issues.
• Collaborate with departments for integrated patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards.
• Mentor residents and contribute to clinical governance.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and provide appropriate medical treatment for various illnesses and injuries.
• Responding to patients medical problems by referring to their history, carrying out diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and referral, where necessary.
• Ordering lab tests and interpreting the test results.
• Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
• Collecting, recording, and maintaining sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history, and reports.
• Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications and transactions according to hospital policies and procedures
• Performing major surgery both planned, emergency and minor surgeries.
