Qualifications

• Strong expertise in core Mechanical Engineering subjects such as Heat Transfer and Solid Mechanics.
• Robotics and automation-related applications experience; linking mechanical design, controls, and smart systems for parking and urban infrastructure.
• Curriculum development experience including outcome-based syllabi, laboratory modules, and industry-aligned programs.
• Proven research capabilities with publications, patents, funded projects, or applied collaborations.
• PhD in Mechanical Engineering; preference for smart infrastructure or automation background.
• Ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world applications in precision engineering and smart urban systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills; commitment to inclusive pedagogy.
• Experience with modern engineering tools and software (CAD/CAE, simulation, control systems).

Role Description

The Professor of Mechanical Engineering will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in core mechanical engineering areas, including topics aligned with HPIPL’s smart parking systems and automation technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering lectures, supervising laboratory sessions, guiding student projects, and mentoring learners on applied engineering problems relevant to urban mobility and infrastructure. The role involves developing and updating curricula, conducting research in mechanical engineering domains, collaborating with industry teams on technology innovation, and contributing to academic publications and conferences. The Professor will also participate in academic administration, accreditation activities, and outreach initiatives that strengthen partnerships between HPIPL, educational institutions, and industry. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in core Mechanical Engineering subjects such as Heat Transfer and Solid Mechanics, with the ability to teach and supervise advanced coursework and projects in these areas.


• Proficiency in Robotics and automation-related applications, preferably with experience linking mechanical design, controls, and smart systems relevant to parking and urban infrastructure.


• Demonstrated experience in Curriculum Development, including designing outcome-based syllabi, laboratory modules, and industry-aligned academic programs.


• Proven Research capabilities in mechanical engineering or closely related fields, evidenced by publications, patents, funded projects, or applied research collaborations.


• Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline; candidates with a strong academic and industrial background in smart infrastructure or automation will be preferred.


• Ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world applications, especially in the context of precision engineering, sustainability, and smart urban systems.


• Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with a commitment to inclusive teaching practices and continuous improvement in pedagogy.


• Experience using modern engineering tools and software (e.g., CAD/CAE, simulation tools, control systems platforms) and familiarity with relevant standards
