CGC University invites applications for a senior academic leader in Computer Science Engineering to advance teaching, research, innovation, and industry collaboration.
The candidate will guide PhD programs, mentor faculty, drive funded research, and lead accreditation and quality assurance efforts across NBA/NAAC processes.
Responsibilities include establishing industry tie-ups, promoting startups and consultancy, organizing conferences and workshops, and contributing to university growth.
To provide academic leadership in teaching, research, innovation, and institutional development in the field of Computer Science Engineering, while contributing to high-impact research, accreditation, and industry collaboration.
Deliver undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses in CSE domains (AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, IoT, etc.)
Develop curriculum aligned with National Education Policy 2020 and industry needs
Introduce experiential learning, project-based learning, and emerging technologies
Supervise B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhD students
Publish high-quality research papers in SCI / Scopus indexed journals (Q1/Q2 preferred)
Secure funded research projects from agencies like DST, AICTE, and UGC
Guide PhD scholars and contribute to patent filing, consultancy, and innovation
Build research labs in emerging areas (AI, ML, Blockchain, Cloud Computing)
Lead department initiatives (NBA, NAAC, NIRF rankings)
Mentor faculty members and promote research culture
Participate in Board of Studies, Academic Council, and policy formulation
Support accreditation and quality assurance processes
Establish industry tie-ups for internships, live projects, and placements
Collaborate with tech companies (e.g., Infosys, TCS, Google)
Promote consultancy, funded projects, and skill development programs
Encourage startups, incubation, and entrepreneurship
Contribute to strategic planning and university growth
Organize conferences, FDPs, workshops, and seminars
Engage in outreach, branding, and admissions support
Minimum 10-15 quality publications (SCI/Scopus indexed)
Strong h-index and citation record preferred
Experience in PhD guidance
Ph.D. in Computer Science / Engineering / relevant discipline
First Class in UG and PG degrees
Minimum 12 years of teaching/research experience
At least 3 years as Associate Professor
Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity)
Strong research orientation and grant-writing ability
Leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
Excellent communication and academic networking
